The Space Frontier Foundation announced on Saturday, July 30th that Altius Space Machines of Louisville, Colorado was awarded the $25,000 first-place prize of the 2011 NewSpace Business Plan Competition held at the NASA Ames Research Center. The Orrery Group’s Richard David, a Space Angels Network member and active investor in commercial space ventures, led a seed investment in Altius in May 2011 following Altius’ successful microgravity technology demonstration.
